AFC

Australia, Iraq, Korea Republic and Uzbekistan will represent Asia at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 after the quartet reached the semi-finals of the 2012 AFC U-19 Championship.

    CAF

    After reaching the semi-finals of the 18th African U-20 Championship in Algeria, the four teams representing Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 are Egypt, Mali, Ghana and Nigeria.

    The CAF Under-20 Championship 2013 held in Omar, Algeria belongs to Egypt after the Pharaohs beat Ghana 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out. This is Egypt's fourth CAF U-20 title.

    An Aminu Umar brace led Nigeria to the bronze medal with a 2-1 won over Mali.

      UEFA

      Twenty-eight teams took part in the qualifying round. The final round of eight teams was played in Estonia from 3 to 15 July 2012, where Spain, Greece, Portugal, England, France and Croatia became the first six teams to book their places at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013. Spain beat Greece 1-0 in the final to become European U-19 champions.

        CONCACAF

        The CONCACAF Under-20 Championship took place in Mexico from 17 February – 1 March 2013, and served as the qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013. USA, Cuba, El Salvador and Mexico won their respective quarter-finals to qualify for Turkey 2013.

          OFC

          The qualifying competition, the OFC U-20 Championship, was played between 21 and 29 March 2013 in Lautoka and Ba, Fiji. Five teams - Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu - did battle with New Zealand winning and qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013.

            CONMEBOL

            The qualifying competition was played in Argentina from 9 January to 3 February, with the host cities being Mendoza and San Juan. Ten teams competed (Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia in Group A and Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela in Group B). The top three teams from each group advanced to the final phase for another round-robin tournament, with the top four teams to qualify for Turkey 2013.

            Colombia and Paraguay became the first teams to qualify, securing passage after three matches of the final round, with Uruguay and Chile completing the quartet on the final day of qualifying.

              Host Country

              As a host country, Turkey is automatically qualified.
