From May 30 through to June 20, FIFA’s second largest tournament, the FIFA U-20 World Cup will be played in New Zealand. This will be the most significant global football tournament New Zealand has ever seen and is a huge event for us to be hosting on the world football stage.

Our vision for this tournament is that it becomes the biggest celebration of global football ever seen in New Zealand. To achieve this vision we are seeking the services of hundreds of volunteers to help us deliver it.

New Zealand has previously hosted the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Cup and 2008 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and both were wonderful events. We want the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup to go even further and surpass all expectations of both local and international fans.

You can help us do that and be part of the fun, the excitement, the colour and the fanfare such an event will bring to New Zealand.

Players such as Diego Maradona, Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Ronaldinho, Kaka, Neymar and Oscar (Brazil) were all stars of previous U-20 World Cups and have gone on to immense fame and fortune.

The new breed of legendary footballers will be gracing pitches across New Zealand and we want to extend to them, and their supporters, loads of Kiwi hospitality and an all-round fantastic experience during their time at this tournament.

This is a unique opportunity for volunteers across the nation to not only be part of a spectacular event, but also to help establish a meaningful legacy to motivate and inspire the many football fans and next generation of football talent in New Zealand, so they remain playing the beautiful game.

Sound like something you want to be part of?
