The FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Germany 2010 was a resounding success, giving fans a taster of what is to come when the senior tournament arrives next year.

There may have been disappointment at the manner of their quarter-final defeat, but Mexico won a lot of new admirers at Germany 2010 and went further than ever before.

USA missed out on their accustomed semi-final place after their defeat on penalties against Nigeria while Korea Republic celebrated making history against Mexico. 

Korea Republic ran out 3-1 winners over Mexico in Dresden for a place against hosts Germany in the semi-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Charlyn Corral has scored for Mexico in three successive FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups but this is the first time she can prepare for a match in the quarter-finals.

Both Mexico and Korea Republic enter new territory on Sunday as they vie for a place in the semi-finals while USA aim to continue their dominance over Nigeria.
