The AFC U-19 Women’s Championship was held between 11 and 20 October 2013 in Nanjing, China PR. Korea Republic, Korea DPR and China PR finished in the top three positions to advance to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2013.


    Nigeria qualified with a 1-0 victory against South Africa, winning 7-0 on aggregate.

    Ghana needed penalties to overcome Equatorial Guinea after winning the return leg 1-0 to make the aggregate score 1-1. The game went straight into penalties, with Ghana winning 4-3.


      Europe’s four participants have been decided by the 2012/2013 UEFA European Women’s U-19 Championship, which is taking place in Wales between 19 and 31 August 2013. England, Finland, France and Germany claimed the confederation's berths by advancing to the tournament's semi-finals, with the French taking the trophy thanks a 2-0 win over England in the final.


        The CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship is taking place in the Cayman Islands between 9 and 19 January 2014, with three places up for grabs at Canada 2014. USA and Mexico claimed the first two by qualifying for the final, and Costa Rica grabbed the final spot after beating Trinidad and Tobago 7-3 in the third-place play-off. USA took the trophy and qualify as champions.

        As hosts, Canada qualify automatically and are not participating in the CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.


          The OFC U-20 Women’s Championship 2014 determined Oceania’s sole participant at Canada 2014. Hosts New Zealand won the championship ahead of Papua New Guinea, Tonga and Vanuatu to advance to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.


            The South American U-20 Women’s Championship took place in Uruguay between 13 and 31 January 2014. Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay won through from the initial group phase to make up the final four-team section. Brazil and Paraguay claimed the top two spots to qualify for Canada 2014.

              Canada, as tournament hosts, qualify automatically for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
