Between 5 August and 24 August 2014, Canada will host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, a competition showcasing the future stars of women’s soccer, with the best often proving that they are ready for the big competition just one year later.

The National Organizing Commitee for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Canada 2014 is looking for hundreds of volunteers to assist us in providing a world-class stage for the most significant women’s youth sporting event in the world.

This competition will be the seventh edition of the biennial FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, one of two FIFA women’s youth tournaments being played ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™.

Canada is proven as an excellent host for this competition.  The inaugural edition of this competition was also played in Canada in 2002 (then known as the FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship). With your help, we believe we will prove it once again.

Hosting the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 gives us a unique opportunity to demonstrate Canadian hospitality, infused with the character of our multicultural society, as we host matches in Edmonton, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Montréal, Quebec; and Moncton, New Brunswick.

As part of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 team, you will be part of a celebration of the world’s best youth players.  By volunteering, you will play an important role in establishing a meaningful legacy for sport and women’s soccer in Canada while building memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

It would be impossible to stage this event without the effort and passion of those committed to volunteering. Your helpfulness, friendliness and willingness to become involved will be decisive factors in delivering a successful FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014.

We look forward to welcoming you to the team.

Sincerely,

Peter Montopoli
