This stadium is in La Florida, Chile's third-largest municipality and which is situated in Santiago province. It was inaugurated in 1986 and is home to one of Chile's biggest clubs, Audax Italiano.

As required of a host venue for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Chile 2008, the stadium has undergone a series of renovations. It included the installation of seating for 12,000 spectators, an increase of 5,000 on the current capacity.

The artificial pitch, one of the most modern in the country, has stayed but the stadium's existing metal and wooden structures was replaced by concrete.

The venue now has four dressing rooms, two training areas and excellent access. Giant screens are installed and access around the outside of the ground has been improved.
