Uzbekistan, Australia, Japan and Korea DPR will represent Asia at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011. The quartet secured semi-final places at the AFC U-16 Championship which took place in Uzbekistan from 24 October-7 November 2010.
Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany and the Netherlands qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup after finishing in the top three of their respective sections at the UEFA U-17 Championship in Serbia between 3-15 May 2011.
The USA, Panama, hosts Jamaica and Canada progressed to Mexico 2011 from the CONCACAF qualification tournament in February in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
New Zealand emerged victorious as hosts of the Oceania qualifying competition which ran from 8-19 January 2011. The Kiwis edged out Tahiti 2-0 in the final of the ten-team tournament that took place in the Auckland area. New Zealand will be the lone representative from the OFC region at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011.
The qualification tournament in South America will run from 12 March-10 April 2011 in Ecuador. Four teams will qualify directly for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Mexico 2011. Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Ecuador finished in the top-four positions.
