The widely popular FIFA U-17 World Cup Fan Zone on Abu Dhabi’s iconic Corniche has attracted close to 80,000 visitors since it opened its doors to the public on 17 October, as the UAE’s largest ever football festival kicked off.

The Fan Zone offers everyone a fantastic opportunity to join in the U-17 World Cup celebrations in the UAE. Tournament Director, H.E. Mohammed bin Bdoua, is delighted to see the fan engagement area pump up some true passion for football among fans in the Emirates and said: “We are all very pleased to see the joy that the Fan Zone has brought to Abu Dhabi’s beach and the country’s football fans this past two weeks. We’ve still got almost a week left and I would urge everyone to make their way down and get a true taste of the FIFA U-17 World Cup festivities.”

The Fan Zone has something to offer for everyone - live screenings of FIFA U-17 World Cup matches, action-packed activities such as target shot games, a mini football pitch, human foosball and most importantly the chance to grab your complimentary match tickets to watch the remaining Semi Final and Final matches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Moreover, FIFA Partner Kia and National Supporters First Gulf Bank, TCA Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Airports Company are all giving away fantastic prizes daily to visitors at the Fan Zone.

“Through the Fan Zone we wanted to bring together football communities from across the UAE to join us in celebrating this unforgettable football festival. We hope we’ll see thousands more fans and families there enjoying themselves as we enter the final days of the tournament.” added bin Bdoua.

Friends and families can join others in celebrating football this week by heading down to the Fan Zone every day until midnight on 8 November. Opening hours are 16:00 to 23:00 from Saturday to Wednesday and 16:00 to midnight on Thursdays and Fridays.
