Canada coach Sean Fleming
"This a great day for Canada’s football. We’re really happy with the result. We knew England was a great side. We bent, but we didn’t break in this game. Football is a funny game and we got a good bounce today after not getting the bounces in our first game. I am very proud of my team today. We need to get ourselves settled now and look ahead. Four points will give us a very good chance of moving on and that’s what we’ll be aiming for when we play Rwanda. We will celebrate a little bit tonight and then set our target on getting a result against another very good side."

England coach John Peacock
"This game will teach the boys something about playing to the final whistle and never thinking the game is over. Overall I think we were better than Canada today, but I have to respect the way they fought for everything. The players are not too disappointed; we now have another chance to set things right against Uruguay in our next game. I decided to leave striker Hallum Hope on the bench to give a chance to some of the other players we have in the squad. We now go to Torreon and I don’t think the heat will be a very big factor, as we will have plenty of time to recover."
