Colombia qualify as Venezuela seal title

Colombia have taken South America's final slot at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Costa Rica 2014 with a 2-0 win over Chile that sees them through alongside Venezuela and Paraguay.

The Venezuelans, meanwhile, will advance as champions, having rounded off an impressive campaign in some style - with a thumping 7-1 win over Paraguay.

Those results were enough to see Colombia leapfrog La Roja into second place by virtue of a better goal difference, while La Vinotinto emerged with a flawless record of three wins from as many matches.

This South American trio will now begin looking forward to next year's world showpiece in Costa Rica, which will take place between 15 March and 5 April.
