Tobago has won several prestigious eco awards including the World Travel Awards Best Eco Destination in the World and the Caribbean Travel Awards Committee’s number-one Eco-Destination in the Caribbean.

The Dwight Yorke Stadium, located in Bacolet, Tobago, is named after local footballing icon Dwight Yorke. The stadium was constructed for the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship which was hosted by Trinidad and Tobago. The Stadium is located only minutes from the capital of Scarborough, 25 minutes from the airport in Tobago and has a capacity of 7,500. The town itself lies beneath Fort King George at the Bacolet Bay, near Scarborough, Tobago, to the south-east of the island’s capital.
