The Korea Football Association (KFA) have confirmed they will make a decision on the coach of the Korea Republic national team next week.

Current incumbent Huh Jung-Moo recently guided the Taeguk Warriors to the last 16 of the FIFA World Cup™ for the first time outside their own country.

The 55-year-old had stated his intention to step down after the tournament in South Africa but side-stepped talk of his future following their exit at the hands of Uruguay on Saturday.

KFA chairman Cho Chung-Yun told Yonhap News Agency they will appoint a coach early next month.

"(The Korea Football Association) will hold a technical committee (meeting) and appoint a national team coach no later than July 10," he said.

Huh took charge of the national team for a second time in December 2007.
