Who will be crowned queens of Germany 2011?

Four year long years of waiting is finally over with the world’s elite women footballers gathering to contest the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany. FIFA.com wants to know who you think will win the tournament.

Contenders have come from all corners of the globe to do battle in one of the great footballing nations between 26 June and 17 July, with the Final to be played in the capital of German sport; Frankfurt. The host nation are reigning champions and, with a star-studded line-up and strong local support, are expected to challenge strongly for a third world title.

However 15 other teams have come to Germany seeking their own coronation as the queens of women’s football. Leading the charge, as always, are USA, with the two-time champions holding top spot on the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women's World Ranking since 2008. Many eyes will also be on the form of China 2007 runners-up Brazil, led by five-time FIFA World player of the year Marta.

Europe will undoubtedly provide a stiff challenge with their four other representatives – England, France, Norway and Sweden – all highly credentialed. Equally so are the Asian trio of Australia, Korea DPR and Japan, while Canada have been displaying impressive form in recent times.
