The design for the Official Poster of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011™ will be chosen by fans from all over the globe. The five shortlisted designs selected by an expert jury will be published from 28 October at 19:15 until 20:11 in the evening of 2 November on the internet at FIFA.com/Germany2011, where you can vote for your favourite.
Official voting will be kicked off by the OC in cooperation with German TV ZDF at the international friendly between the women’s national teams of Germany and Australia in Wolfsburg.
The call by the OC and the Institute of German Communication Designers (BDG) for proposals for the Official Poster of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 attracted more than 300 entries. The shortlist of five finalists was determined by a jury comprising OC President Steffi Jones, Germany head coach Silvia Neid, DFB manager Doris Fitschen, and BDG representatives Henning Krause (President), Mariko Takagi (professor), Verena Gerlach (designer) and Florian Pfeffer (professor).
“We’re bowled over by the response and the quality of the proposed designs. All five shortlisted entries clearly and unmistakeably express the dynamism and creativity of women’s football,” commented Jones.
