FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011™ group tickets go on sale this Wednesday, 17 February 2010, with a “Pay for 9, 11 will be there” offer.
The “20Elf-Ticket" is available to members of football clubs. Groups of 11 people receive a 20 per cent discount. The resulting individual ticket prices in Category 4 range from €8 (group stage matches, kids and youths up to 16) to €44 (Final, standard price). Group tickets are also available in Category 3, and will be sold in the order in which applications are received.
“The clubs are the fundamental building-blocks of German football, and work exceptionally hard in promoting girls’ and women’s football. That’s why we regard it as a logical step to offer group tickets to DFB members,” commented Organising Committee (OC) President Steffi Jones.
The “20Elf-Ticket" will be available for all matches at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 – including the Opening Match on 26 June 2011 at the Berlin Olympic stadium, which will feature Germany. Group tickets also go on sale for the 32 matches at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2010 starting at €2.50 per person.
Group tickets will be offered until 30 June 2010 via the official website at FIFA.com/Deutschland2011. During the group tickets sales phase, fans can still purchase city series tickets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 via FIFA.com/Deutschland2011.
“The city series has proved a real hit. With the launch of group ticket sales, our aim is to offer our members a fabulous experience at fair prices, both for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2011 and the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2010,” the OC President remarked.
In the first sales phase, fans purchased 50,000 city series tickets, incorporating 200,000 match tickets.
