Sweden coach Thomas Dennerby
I’m happy and proud, because it’s been a while since we’ve played as well as that. We did very well, imposing our physical game. Colombia are good in possession, but by hitting the ball wide and long, we created a lot of chances for ourselves. Yes, we could have won by a goal or two more, but I shouldn’t be too fussy – the important thing is that we secured three points.
Colombia coach Ricardo Rozo
The match turned out just as we expected. Sweden came at us right from the start, and their physical approach enabled them to get the better of us. We tried to build down the flanks, putting together some good moves, but unfortunately we were unable to get a goal. But we are still convinced that anything is possible in this group.
Sweden forward and Player of the match Jessica Landstrom
I never had any doubts that I would score sooner or later in the game. Unfortunately, I missed a few clear chances, but you have to put that out of your mind and focus on the next one that one comes along. As long as we continue to create opportunities, we’ll be fine. I’m feeling pretty good about my game. I thought overall we were the better side; scoring my first goal was a very special moment indeed.
