Bajmaraj is nothing at all, Prinz is better, Bajmaraj is a model not a footballer, thats why MARTA won World Player of the Year again! German teams these days are of Turkish descent anyway.

Harry, they do indeed know about Germany's history. Being Brazilian, I think you know very well that Brazil's history is quite brutal as well, without needing me to go into any details. Every country has a dark past. That has no bearing on football though, nor on Bajmaraj. If it does have a bearing upon you for whatever reason, perhaps you live a bit too much in the past. I think it's wiser for everyone to keep our discussions on football, without getting into history or politics. Most of us think we know more more than we actually do anyway.

I understand that not everyone likes the same things but it doesn't mean you can use that right to degrade other people that you don't even know!!!! Lira has barely gotten any play time so she is doing brilliantly! But just remember this, the more you hate, the more you click on links just to insult Lira, the more popualar she becomes and more decussion will be about her so just hate her and carry on doing what you do, but even this comment has made Lira stronger.

..and look at the Brazil bashing on here! All the talk is USA & Germany and Brazil is not out yet, but the vibes I'm getting is some people can't wait for Brazil to lose. SAD! USA & Germany have an advantage of years in Women's football and their own leagues. Brazil do not but they are still there.

(continued)... I can take someone saying something once or twice. I'm not easily flustered. If I were, I certainly wouldn't survive in the school at which I teach. But when I see the pattern continuing and continuing across different forums, of course I'll say something in defense? Wouldn't anyone? My two very closest friends here where I live are Colombian and Salvadorian/Nicaraguan. I have other good friends who are Honduran, Vietnamese, Mexican, American, and Filipino, and Pakistani. I always try to be objective and open, but certain things can strike a nerve with me and this is one.

(continued)... While Germany is certainly no USA yet in terms of multiculturalism, they're becoming a very multicultural society because the people there embrace embrace it. Bajmaraj is perhaps the most loved player on the entire German team. She may not possess skills that compare with the world's best players, but she goes 100% on the pitch, the fans love her full-speed-forward attacking mentality, and last but not least, she is seen as a symbol of the increasingly multicultural society Germany is becoming and embracing. (continued)... I don't really have a problem with my students though, and I think part of it might be that I'm genuinely interested in them. I love to learn about other cultures and so our discussions aren't always centered strictly around math. I guess you could also say I'm considered a joker. But my German mother, grandparents, and virtually everyone else on the German side of my family has always been the same way (open, inviting, and wanting to learn about people elsewhere). No, that's not true at all. Every Brazilian is proud of their heritage, their football, their beautiful country. Every American is proud. Nigerians are proud. I could go on and on. Having pride though doesn't mean others are considered little. Sure, there are some Germans who might think that way, but you'll find people like that in every country. I'm an 8th grade math teacher in a school in Houston which is represented by about 35-40 different cultures and countries. The school I teach in is considered kinda rough because the kids can be a challenge to manage by some...(continued)

Messi is also the World Player of the Year btw, and like Marta, also has yet to win World Cup. Both would probably gladly trade their World Player of the Year award for a World Cup title. Having said that, I still consider Brazil and the USA to be the favorites, and think it's unfortunate that they have to face each other in the quarters, but enough already with the Germany bashing because it's growing tiresome correcting you.

You just never have a nice thing to say about Germany, do you? Then you credit France for two great headers when ours were equally great. Do you have an issue with us? Who cares who the World Player of the Year is anyway? Germany are the two-time defending champs because it's about TEAM, and we take pride in being able to win without Marta's or Pele's carrying our team. Something wrong with that? Btw, our women have one player of Turkish descent, and our men have two (both born in Germany). Isn't Brazil a multicultural society as well?
