Kim Kwang-Min, Korea DPR coach
This was our second game and we were a little better prepared
than in our first game. We had a new start today with all four
teams in the group starting with draws. We played a better game
tactically today and this win will helps us greatly in our hopes of
making it to the second round. We will be playing to win in our
last group match against Sweden and we are not thinking ahead to
the knockout rounds yet. The game to come against Sweden will be a
very tough one, but we will prepare ourselves well. We are sad to
be leaving Chengdu as the fans here have really helped us to feel
at home.
Effiom Ntiero, Nigeria coach
It was a bad game for us. We had some serious troubles from
their in-swinging corner-kicks. The Koreans played well, but we
gave them a good fight tonight especially in the second half. We
have nothing to be ashamed of and there is still one game to go. We
still have a good chance to advance. Anything can happen and we
will just need to make sure we're prepared for our last game.
We went down two goals in a very short time and this made things
very difficult for us.
Ri Un-Suk, Korea DPR midfielder
I'm too exhausted from this very difficult game
to give a good comment on exactly what happened.
Stella Mbachu, Nigeria midfielder
We are still alive in this World Cup. We just need to keep
working hard and fight hard in our third game against the USA and
we'll be just fine. We are not afraid of the USA. They are just
women just like we are women and on the day anything can
happen.
