As well as winning the bronze medal in the Women's Olympic Football Tournament, Germany also finished top of the standings for the FIFA Fair Play Award.
The Germans took over the lead in mid-tournament from the United States and finished narrow winners over Norway.
The award is based upon the teams' behaviour and attitude on and off the field of play. It takes into account such factors as respect for referees, opponents and fans, attacking and positive play, as the number of yellow and red cards.
The FIFA Fair Play Award will be presented to the German team during this year's FIFA World Player of the Year gala in Rome on 11 December.
