Shang Ruihua, Silvia Neid and John Herdman, the respective
coaches of China PR, Germany and New Zealand, shared their thoughts
on the women's draw.
Group E
Shang Ruihua (China PR coach)
We were among the world's best in the 1990s but in recent
years we have been going down. We will do our utmost to show our
best this time and regain our damaged reputation.
Group F
Silvia Neid (Germany coach)
This is a tough draw for us. We have been placed into the
strongest group in my opinion. If you want to reach the
quarter-finals, you have to give 100 per cent. Our opening match
will be against Brazil, which will be a very interesting match for
the spectators, while a big challenge for us.
Group G
John Herdman (New Zealand coach)
It is an exciting group. We have the best teams in our group.
We will challenge to be among the best in our group. The favourites
should be the USA and Norway. Unquestionably there won't be
easy matches for us but we will try our best to win at lease one
match. USA may have the best chance to advance to the last eight
but anything can happen in football.
