Over 900 media representatives are expected to attend the FIFA World Youth Championship for the Coca-Cola Cup – including some 360 media and technicians from the Host Broadcaster, TV-3, who are covering the 52 matches for a world audience.
In addition to over 300 Malaysian media, organisers expect some 250 foreign journalists, photographers and commentators from other countries.
The largest contingent is from Japan, with 40 accreditations requested, while China has asked for 29, Argentina for 27 and South Korea for 24.
The Brazilian contingent has not yet been defined, as many Brazilian media have been following the senior team at the Tournoi de France event and are now at the Copa America in Bolivia. Experience has shown that the Brazilian media group tends to grow if and when the team progresses through the Championship.
