The FIFA Fair Play campaign has come to feature prominently on the international match calendar in the past years. Many associations around the world have taken advantage of FIFA's annual support to promote fair play on and off the pitch during the official FIFA Fair Play Days.
In 2009, the fair play ceremony will be held before the quarter final matches of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Egypt 2009 on October 9 and 10 in the stadiums in Suez and Cairo. On 9 October, the matches held at the Mubarak Stadium in Suez will be Korea Republic vs. Ghana and Italy vs. Hungary. On 10 October, Brazil vs. Germany and UAE vs. Costa Rica will be played at the Cairo International Stadium.
The captains of the eight teams will read a message in favour of fair play and the respect of the opponents, and the teams will display a "My Game is Fair Play" banner before the start of the matches.
FIFA and the Local Organising Committee are proud to dedicate these matches to Fair Play and encourage all players, coaches, officials and fans to play fair, both on the pitch and off it, leading by example and showing fairness, impartiality and solidarity in everything they do.
