The second round of matches in Group C concludes with Cameroon taking on USA at the Mubarak Stadium in Suez, with the pair having experienced contrasting fortunes in their respective opening games.

The stakes
Both nations will be desperate to take maximum points from Tuesday evening's encounter, albeit it for very different reasons. While the USA have no room for error after losing their opening fixture 3-0 against Germany, Cameroon have the wind in their sails after kicking off their campaign with a 2-0 defeat of Korea Republic. The only time the two nations have previously met at this level was ten years ago, when the USA posted a 3-1 victory at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Nigeria 1999 en route to qualifying for the second round. Cameroon, in contrast, crashed out at the group stage.

The stat
3 - Thomas Rongen is in charge of a USA squad for the third time at a FIFA U-20 World Cup. In 2003 and 2007 he managed to lead his troops into the quarter finals, but defeat against the Young Lions this time round would mean an early exit for the young Stars and Stripes.

The words
"We'll be making some changes to our starting line up just like we did against Germany, so you can expect a few surprises. Hopefully we'll perform better than we did in the first match. Cameroon are an excellent team and we have a lot of respect for them, but we'll be going into the match well prepared," Thomas Rongen, USA coach.

"Our main strength is that we can keep going for the full 90 minutes and put our opponents under constant pressure. We haven't taken part in an U-20 World Cup for ten years and we're all looking to progress. We'll be doing everything we can to make the semi-final at least," Alain Wabo, Cameroon coach.
