Serame Letsoaka, South Africa coach
We went into this match knowing that we had to win and win well, and fortunately we did that. We still missed too many chances, which has been a problem for us throughout this tournament, but the overall performance was better than in our first two matches. I didn't actually realise before now that we were definitely through to the next round but this is great news. We started this group on a high with our performance in the first half against UAE and have ended it on a high today.
Eugenio Umanzor, Honduras coach
We were mentally weak today and couldn't grasp the challenge in front of us. The match had a fair winner because South Africa were better than us. I'm not going to make excuses for what has happened to us because excuses are for those who refuse to face failure. I am the person responsible for what happened and I accept the blame. As for my players, they need to learn how to deal with both the good times and bad, and hopefully we can carry things forward from there.
