Ecuador is one of the best sides in this world cup. Yesterday they made an experienced and good Aussie team look like a bunch of kindergardeners playing during recess. All that was missing was more clarity in getting the ball into the goal. All in all, luck was on the side of Australia yesterday. Can't wait to see more matches, to me this is some of the best soccer that can be seen, these kids play for it all unlike some professionals who save themselves for their clubs.

if you fear success once, you've already failed 1,000 times. ecuador played better soccer and had the lead, but they came out in the 2nd half as if they were trying to kill time-- as if they were scared to win, to be successful. at the end of the day, that kind of attitude leads to lack of clarity and conviction. which then means you can't execute when you have to, so you miss easy chances. and finally you just can't get the job done. and so the competition catches up to you. and there you have it.

Great result for the OZ considering Ecuador has 2 - 3 goal scoring chances. Cracking goal from Oar too !
