Spain came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Uruguay in the second match of Group B played in front of a full Swangard Stadium in Burnaby on 1 July.

The Uruguayans scored first two minutes into the second half when Edinson Cavani converted a pass from the left by Luis Suarez, who in turn had received a good ball by Marcel Roman. Nine minutes later it was 2-0 as Suarez fired past Adan from outside the area. Spain pulled one back with a header by Adrian Lopez and Diego Capel equalised with a lobbed effort in stoppage time.

The draw will feel more like a victory for Spain, who now face Zambia in Burnaby on 4 July. At the same venue, Uruguay must pick themselves up from this disappointing draw as they take on Jordan.
