James Dadzie, Ghana coach
I’m delighted with this match. First we got a draw, then we suffered a defeat but now we have a victory to celebrate, so overall I’m satisfied. That’s the way football is – you have good days and bad days. The match against Korea Republic was one of the bad days. I must stress though that we found ourselves in a really tough group, and this is the first time that we’ve qualified for this tournament. I think that we’ll be able to do even better next time with the experience that we’ve gained here, and I’m certain that women’s football in Africa is making real progress.

Yannick Schwery, Switzerland coach
We put in the best performance we could today, and I really take my hat off to my team. They fought, and they were desperate to score at least one goal in the tournament. And though I was hoping beyond hope that would happen, unfortunately they didn’t manage it.

Ana Crnogorcevic, Switzerland centre forward
We weren’t direct enough in front of goal today, but overall it was the USA match where things went wrong for us. That got us off on the wrong foot for the rest of the tournament. The worst part of it is that we qualified for the World Cup, and after that everything went wrong.
