That was a really tough game, especially in the first half when they were pressing hard. In the second period we tried to support the strikers more and close down their midfielders. It worked out very well for us although I have to say we had a little luck with the third goal. I’m happy our Germany 2010 hopes are still alive, even though there will be some really tough teams in the quarter-finals. Colombia will be strong, as all the South American sides are, and they’ll battle for every ball. Luckily we’ve already played against Brazil and we know a little bit more about that style of play.
Choe Kwang-Sok, Korea DPR coach
We were up against a very strong side who gave us a stern test. I’m satisfied with the performance of my players but not with the goals we let in. We can’t afford to concede three goals and I’m sure we’ll put in a better display in our next game. We are up against hosts Germany now and, while we respect them, the fact is we’ve come here to reach the final. We’ve played three games so far and we’ll be working hard to improve on certain aspects of our play.
