Stephane Pilard, France coach
What stopped us from winning? One minute, that's what. The players played great football, the kind I like, but we lost concentration at the end of the match. It was a very difficult but very evenly matched encounter. We lost through defensive errors because their goals came via two high balls. Besides which we hit the post three times, which shows that luck wasn't on our side today. We're still in with a chance of taking third place, which is an extraordinary achievement. That said, I'm hugely frustrated now because we weren't able to take our chances. But this squad deserves to take something from this tournament.
Choe Kwang Sok, Korea DPR coach
The France match was very important and very difficult. I still don't know how we'll prepare for the final because that'll depend on who we're up against. The United States have a lot of quality and skill; they're a team that are very well-organised both in attack and defence. Germany, meanwhile, are very strong at the back and try to attack at speed.
Ri Ye Gyong, Korea DPR player
I didn't stop trying and I never stopped hoping that we'd win. I gave everything I had out on the pitch and that's how I was able to score a marvellous goal.
