Korea DPR began like a house on fire in their game with Norway on Sunday in Temuco, the second clash for both sides at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Chile 2008.

Ri Ye Gyong opened the scoring for the defending champions in the 17th minute after a well-worked play out wide and a ferocious cross from Kim Chun Hui. Ra Un Sim then added another near the half-hour mark after collecting a pass from Ri Ye Gyong to put the East Asians in a commanding position.

Far from letting their heads drop, though, the energetic Scandinavians dug deep and hauled themselves back into the contest. Isabell Herlovsen cut the deficit in half seven minutes after the break with a fine header from a corner kick. Then she drew Norway level in the 59th minute after taking advantage of a mix-up at the Korean rearguard.

Then, shortly after, the Asians brought themselves back into the topsy-turvy game. Ra Un Sim added her second on 64 minutes, beating the offside trap to make it 3-2 and seal the result.

The Koreans move into a three-way tangle at the top of Group D, for the time being. Norway and Brazil also have three points in the section, but the Brazilians can move ahead if they beat Mexico later in the day.
