Ramiro Viafara, Colombia coach
It's 11 versus 11 out on the pitch, but unfortunately today we went down to ten men and conceded a penalty in the opening minutes of the game. That, on top of the fatigue carried over from extra time against Turkey in the previous round, made it impossible for us to take on a team as strong and well-equipped as Switzerland. Nobody expected we'd reach the last four, but here we are and we're going to fight for third place. It won't be easy but we'll give it our best shot.

Dany Ryser, Switzerland coach
Once more, I'm pleased by the high level of performance from my boys this evening. I think that winning a penalty and having a man advantage early on made things easier for us. It's not easy playing with ten men at this stage of the tournament and we took advantage of the spaces we had to play in and dictated the tempo of the game. We came to Nigeria dreaming of reaching the final and today we've made it a reality. Let's hope we can go home with the trophy under our arm, that's what all of us want.
