PRK - ENG: post-match quotes
An Ye Gun (PRK), Korea DPR coach
"Both teams worked very hard until the end of the match and I was very happy when we scored the equalising goal. When the all the players ran to the bench after the goal, it signified the spirit within the squad: the players and the coaching staff are like brothers. However, we still have ways in which we can improve: I don't think our physical conditioning was at its best today - and we will have to improve that aspect before we play Brazil on Tuesday."
John Peacock (ENG), England coach
"It was a heartbreaking goal to concede in the sense that when you're leading with a minute to go, it's heartbreaking to see a goal go in. But I felt that Korea DPR deserved their draw today. I'm a little disappointed, but it was important that we didn't lose the game today and there were several positive points which I feel that we can take into the next match with New Zealand. I am very confident that the lads will respond positively. They worked very hard out there today in difficult conditions - it was hot and humid and there - and we are not used to that, but we'll be fine from here on in."
Rim Chol Min (PRK), Korea DPR forward
It was great to hear that the local fans supporting us - and that really helped us. I was not disappointed to be a substitute, because I realise that those who started the game are better players than myself. I don't really model myself on any famous players, because I am only learning and my skills are so far behind players at the highest levels of the game.
Tommy Smith (ENG), England defender
We're very disappointed that it was a draw in the end. I thought that we did enough for the win, but the heat just got to us at the end. We knew were in for a tough game, we didn't underestimate them. In fact, once we scored, I thought we would go on from there, but it wasn't to be. We can't wait for the next game and a chance to put it right against New Zealand.
