CRC - KOR: Post-match quotes
Manuel Urena (CRC), Costa Rica coach: "We struggled in the first half. We didn't see much of the ball and they dominated. We managed to tighten up in midfield after the restart though, and get some control back. I have to say we were a bit lucky too and our keeper was in excellent form. Nevertheless, we took our chances when they came and that was what won us the game."
Kyung Hoon Park (KOR), Korea Republic coach: "Unfortunately for us we didn't take the opportunities that came our way in the first half. If we had done, the outcome would have been different. The changes we made didn't work as I would have liked either. If we are going to stay alive we have to beat Togo, who are a very strong side in technical, physical and tactical terms."
Jessy Peralta (CRC), Costa Rica defender: "It's a dream to score in a World Cup finals. It hasn't sunk in yet. I'm thrilled about it and the win because it means we've nearly reached our first objective, which was to qualify for the second round. We just have to wait to make sure of that and then we can think about the teams we might face there. This is a fantastic team and we've got a great squad here."
Seung Gyu Kim (KOR), Korea Republic goalkeeper: "We played really well for most of the game. We didn't give them any space and we were really unlucky not to score when we had to. You have to remember that our wingers are injured too and that's what our whole gameplan is based on. The result hurts a lot. We desperately wanted to win and now we have to give our all against Togo to try and get through."
