Argentina moved within touching distance of the Round of 16 at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Korea after beating Honduras 4-1 in their Group C second round match at the Ulsan Complex Stadium on 22 August.

Argentina started the stronger, enjoying space and good spells of possession but without creating much by way of chances. For their part, the Catrachos looked content to bide their time and try their luck on the break. One such move forced Luis Ojeda to upend Christian Martinez in the box, leaving Johnny Leveron to give the Central Americans the lead from the spot. Far from losing heart, Argentina stuck to their game plan and were rewarded when Fernando Meza equalised from a corner in first-half stoppage time.

Little changed after the break. Honduras continued to play cautiously and were limited to the occasional shot from distance. And though the Albicelestes kept probing with often over-elaborate approach work, in the end their goals would come from headers: two from Nicolas Mazzola and one from Alexis Machuca to make the final score 4-1.

Group C's final games take place on Saturday 25 August, when Argentina will be looking to seal their place in the last 16 against an already-qualified Spain in Gwangyang, and Honduras will be hoping for a win over Syria in Jeju and results elsewhere to go their way.
