An 89th minute equaliser from Rim Chol Min earned Korea DPR a share of the spoils against England in Group B on Saturday 18 August 2007 at the FIFA World Cup stadium Jeju.

Although the Three Lions edged the share of the possession in the first half, it was Korea DPR who came closest to scoring. In the ninth minute Ri Myong Jun struck a ferocious 25-yard effort which rattled the crossbar. England had half-chances too, with Tom Smith and Jonathan Franks going close, but O Mun Song was never really tested.

The second half looked to be going the same way as the first, with neither side troubling the keeper, until a moment of magic from Nathan Porritt unlocked the Korea DPR defence. The Middlesbrough man cut inside from the right wing and fired in a shot which O could only parry. Fortunately for England, Victor Moses was on hand to power home the loose ball.

The Koreans poured forward for the equaliser and it came with a minute of normal time remaining when Rim netted following Alex Smithies superb save from An Il Bom's downward header.
