Hiroshi Yoshida, Japan coach
I need my players to make better decisiosn and to do the things that I want them to do out on the pitch. Overall it was a pretty good performance but I can’t say that I am totally pleased with the way things have worked out. I am not satisfied yet. We could have scored more goals and been more ruthless in the beginning of the game. We also made many mistakes.
Dave Edmondson, New Zealand coach
It’s been a big learning curve for us at the tournament, the quality of the opposition here is far greater than the opposition at home. We wanted to play football and match teams for possession, but it’s hard to do that against such quality opponents. For us to develop we need to be able to play under pressure and be much faster and stronger.
