Azerbaijan is currently celebrating Novruz, the spring holiday. Along with these festivities comes the ceremonial launch of ticketing for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will take place in Azerbaijan later this year.
Fans of women’s football have the opportunity to spend the spring holidays enjoying the annual open-air Novruz festivities at the National Park on the Caspian Sea. From 19-21 March, an official stand of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is on site for fans to enjoy an interactive experience focusing on the upcoming tournament.
Visitors will have the chance to get information about online ticket sales and volunteering opportunities, to have their picture taken with the Official Mascot and to demonstrate their skills with a football on a specially installed training pitch.

On 19 March the honorable guest was handed the first ticket for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, representing the ceremonial launch of ticketing for the tournament. Thus, Ilham Aliyev and the first lady of Azerbaijan were invited to watch the opening match of the tournament.
