The official slogan of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 has today been presented to the public. To mark the occasion, around 100 dancers took part in a surprise dance show, which was staged just before the match between Khazar-Lankaran and Azal FC.

Professional dancers entered the Lankaran City Centre stadium unexpectedly displaying some puzzle cards which, at the display’s conclusion, revealed the entire picture with the official slogan: ‘Eleven Hearts, One Goal!’ The tournament will see an Azerbaijan U-17 women’s team compete at a FIFA tournament for the first time.

“Starting from today, everybody can chant and support our girls whose eleven hearts beat for one common goal: representing Azerbaijan eagerly at this tremendous event,” said Narmin Abbasova, a member of the Local Organising Committee for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012.

The Official Emblem and the Official Mascot had already been introduced to the attention of the public in Baku on 6 June and 7 October 2011 respectively. This time, the LOC team together with FIFA decided to launch the official slogan in Lankaran –one of the two host cities— in order to closely engage Lankaranians in the upcoming football festivity.

Around 5000 football fans had the opportunity to get more acquainted with the preparations for the upcoming championship, which will be held in Azerbaijan from 22 September to 13 October 2012. Flyers with information on the U-17 women’s national team players were distributed among the those attending the match. Moreover, the official mascot was in the stadium, drawing attention and sparking great excitement, especially among children, who had the opportunity to have their photo taken with this young, sporty and active lady.
