FIFA's  Technical Study Group  (TSG) have provided detailed analysis of all the games to date at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship Russia 2006.

As well as studying the technical schemes and tactical strategies used by the 16 national team coaches, these experts on women's football have also been paying close attention to the qualities and aptitudes of the competition's most outstanding players.

The TSG have put together a list of 21 players who it feels merit a place in the tournament's All-Star squad, and from this list they then singled out the 10 most talented and promising individuals. TSG members Fran Hilton-Smith (RSA), Tina Theune-Meyer (GER), Marika Domanski-Lyfors (SWE) and Sylvie Beliveau (CAN) gave FIFA.com their reasons for choosing the top 10.

Zhang Yanru (CHN)
She's a physically imposing and very secure goalkeeper who organises her defence with composure and professionalism. Particularly good on the deck, the two-footed shot-stopper is rarely caught out of position.

Val Henderson (USA)
Another talented goalkeeper, Henderson oozes self-belief, controls her area well and is a very good judge of distance and angles. She is good with the ball at her feet too, and gets length and accuracy on her goal kicks.

Hong Myong Gum (PRK)
She's a player who knows how to marshal her side's defence from the middle of the field, and is extremely good in one-on-one situations.

Celia Okoyino Da Mbabi (GER)
We'd describe her as a great playmaker. Strong and determined, she's her team's natural leader, extremely consistent and blessed with a powerful shot. She also possesses great stamina and works tirelessly from beginning to end.

Kim Kyong Hwa (PRK)
Kim is a very dynamic and creative player who distributes the play well from midfield. Charismatic, hugely influential and unpredictable, she's capable of winning games single-handedly. In addition, she's a talented playmaker and especially good at executing free kicks and corners.

Cynthia Uwak (NGA)
Uwak is a very strong forward with great dribbling ability. Not lacking in self-confidence, her attitude and spirit never falter. Strong in the air and an accurate header of the ball, the Nigerian is equally dangerous with the ball at her feet.

Ma Xiaoxu (CHN)
A skilful striker and prolific goalscorer, Ma can find the target with almost any part of her foot. This powerful and charismatic 18-year-old is a natural leader who can read the game superbly. She can also dribble, shoot or make assists as required.

Kil Son Hui (PRK)
Kil has a tremendous workrate and is capable of initiating a huge variety of attacks. A dynamic and talented playmaker who never gives up, she's a constant threat to opposition defences with her strength and match-winning abilities.

Fabiana (BRA)
A tenacious predator, Fabiana's attacking style is Brazilian through and through. Comfortable on the ball or when running at players, her strengths lie in her ability to unlock defences with her forceful running and persistence.

Danesha Adams (USA)
A powerful and combative striker who also possesses great skill and dribbling ability, Adams is always looking to start the next attack and close in on goal.
