Brazil 2000 Final Draw
The Draw for the first FIFA Club World Championship, took place on Thursday 14 October, at the Copacabana Palace Hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The Club Championship will be held from 5-14 January 2000 in Brazil.
The eight participating teams were divided into two groups of four. Real Madrid, Al-Nassr, Corinthians and a CAF representative (winner of the 1999 CAF Champions' Cup, to be decided in December) were drawn in Group A. Manchester United, Rayos del Necaxa, Clube Regatas Vasco da Gama and South Melbourne will playing in Group B.
Group winners will meet in the Final, and the two group runners-up will play in the Third Place Match. The matches will be played in the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro and the Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo.
