The US women's team will be paying a special visit to the SOS Children's Village near Chicago on the eve of SOS's 50th anniversary.
SOS Children's Villages is FIFA's adopted charity organisation in a relationship which began in 1995. The organisation runs villages and schools in nearly 130 countries, caring for over 200,000 disadvantaged children.
The village at Lockport, Illinois near Chicago is one of only two in the United States, the other being in Florida. The US team's visit comes on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the organisation's founding in Austria, and two days before the Americans play Nigeria at Soldier Field.
Children from the Lockport Village will have the special honour of accompanying the teams onto the pitch at Soldier Field on 24 June.
Although the visit is essentially a private one, any media opportunities in connection will be announced in due course.
