Stat of the Day: Players come clean
There has not been a single red card in 13 games at the FIFA Confederations Cup Germany 2005 and that puts the competition on course to be the cleanest in the history of the event.
Although the number of yellow cards so far (56) is relatively high there has been at least one red in each of the previous editions, with four in France 2003 and six in Mexico 1999.
The disciplinary statistics for every FIFA Confederations Cup are:
France 2003: R4 Y73; Korea/Japan 2001: R1 Y48; Mexico 1999: R6 Y63; Saudi Arabia 1997: R4 Y60
