Stat of the Day Record number of goals
It has been the best FIFA Confederations Cup ever with a wealth of attacking football on show in Germany over the past two weeks and a record number of goals scored for the tournament.
When Pablo Aimar dived full length to head home Argentina's consolation in their 4-1 defeat by Brazil it was goal number 56, beating the previous best of 55 established at Mexico 1999.
Brazil's third goal also established Ronaldinho as the joint-leading scorer in the history of the competition. His total of nine goals put the Brazil captain and Anheuser Busch Man of the Match level with Cuauhtemoc Blanco of Mexico.
Wednesday's win at Frankfurt's Waldstadion increased Brazil's dominance of the FIFA Confederations Cup. They have now amassed a total of 44 points 21 more than the next-best team, Mexico.
