Jean Francois de Sart, Belgium coach
We are very disappointed with the result. We had bigger expectations for this game. We knew that we were going to be playing a very strong team who possess great strength and great speed, but they caused us too many problems in the opening 30 minutes. After that we had chances and I thought that we were the better team, but then they scored the second which made life very difficult for us and after that they controlled the rest of the game. I think they have a great chance to win the tournament. Now we must target the bronze medal.
Samson Siasia, Nigeria coach
I don't have much to say tonight. It was wonderful, a great day for us. I believe this team are progressing all the time, they took their chances on the counter attack, but still maintained our defensive focus. We played well in the quarter-final, but we played wonderfully well today. I don't care who we meet in the final - we're just going to make sure that we play well and we're going to do all we can to claim the gold medal. I don't want to compare this team with the 1996 winners, this group are younger, but we have great players.
Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi, Nigeria forward
I just want to say that this means a lot to me, the team, the coach and everyone in Nigeria. Today the team gave everything we had and we got the result. I was so glad to score two goals and I want to dedicate that to the team. The Olympics means so much to me and my team-mates. It means so much for us to go all the way and I think we deserve to be in the final. This is one of the biggest competitions in world football and I believe that we can get the gold.
Kevin Mirallas, Belgium forward
Today Nigeria were stronger than us and you have to give them credit for that. On Friday, I think we will play a strong match and we're going to do all we can to get a medal. Now we have try and turn the page and think about the bronze medal match. We're very disappointed, we didn't respond particularly well after the second goal went in.
