Nigeria decide on overage trio

Nigeria have selected full internationals Osaze Odemwingie, Vincent Enyeama and Ikechukwu Uche as the three overaged players in their squad for next month's Men's Olympic Tournament.

Odemwingie plays for Russian club Locomotive Moscow, goalkeeper Enyeama is with Israeli club Hapoel Tel-Aviv while Uche stars for Getafe in Spain. Olympic coach Samson Siasia said England-based defender Danny Shittu was left out as he is still recovering from injury.

He also disclosed that the team now plan a preparatory tour of the United States after a recent training stint in Portugal. The team are also expected to train in South Korea before rounding up their preparations for the Olympics with a friendly against their Chinese counterparts on 2 August in Beijing.
