Graham Arnold, Australia coach
I'm very proud of my boys, especially for the way they bounced back in the second half. We were up against the European Championship runners-up and picked up a vital result that, more than anything else, keeps our hopes for the remainder of the tournament alive.

Ruben Zadkovich, Australian goalscorer
We picked up a very good result which gives us hope for what lies ahead. On a personal note I'm very pleased about the goal I scored, but I'm disappointed that we went close to increasing our lead with a shot that hit the post only to then concede the equaliser.

Miroslav Djukic, Serbia coach
It was an extremely tough game, but you only have to look at the match stats to see that we clearly deserved to win. Unfortunately we couldn't reflect this in the scoreline and ended up drawing a game that we could have won. I hope that we'll be better adjusted to the climate here by our next match, as that will help us to improve too.

Slobodan Rajkovic, Serbia goalscorer
We were the better team but we wasted a lot of opportunities, although a draw is not such a bad result. We have our fate in our hands and that's always a positive thing. My goal? It's a feeling that's difficult to put into words, because it was my first game for the national team. It was something very special.
