Have you always dreamed of being coached by one of the best football managers in the world? Now’s your chance! We’re proud to announce the official coach for the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2012, Arsene Wenger.
Wenger has been managing Arsenal for more than fifteen years and has led the Gunners to three league championships and four FA Cup titles. The French tactician is without question one of the best coaches in modern football, not to mention the only manager to guide his team to a Premier league title without losing a single match. Who better to answer your tactical football questions than the man himself!
Tactical training with Wenger
Every week, Arsene Wenger - our official FIWC12 coach - will present a video tutorial covering an important aspect of modern football. Tactical formations, the offside trap and pressing against the ball are just some of the topics the Arsenal manager will cover. Wenger will share his expertise so that FIWC gamers can improve their virtual football skills.
Theory is important, but implementation in an actual EA SPORTS™ FIFA 12 match is crucial. Four-time FIWC finalist Andre Buffo will be assisting the FIWC12 coach by demonstrating Wenger’s advice and strategies on the virtual football pitch.
Making the best of the 4-4-2
In his first video tutorial as FIWC12 coach - which you can view by clicking the video at the top of this article - Wenger discusses formation tactics. In modern football the 4-4-2 has proved to be both the most effective and popular formation. Wenger explains how to keep the entire field under control using this formation and which advantages the two rows of four offer for both offense and defense. Then it’s on to the virtual pitch where Andre Buffo will demonstrate Wenger’s advice in game!
Online gamers, you have one last chance to claim your place at the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2012 Grand Final in Dubai! The sixth and final online season runs from 1-15 May.
