There are some exceptional players competing in the FIFA Interactive World Cup that are able to maintain the highest standards year after year. What sets these players apart, among other things, is their ability to constantly adapt to new challenges and to remain calm no matter how intense the pressure.
André Buffo from Brazil and Alfonso Ramos from Spain are two such players. The Grand Final veterans have once again qualified for a FIWC Grand Final, in this case by finishing in the top two spots of Online Season 2 for FIWC12.
The FIWC12 Grand Final will be Buffo’s fifth appearance at the main event. FIWC08 champion Alfonso Ramos, meanwhile, will set a new record when he arrives at the 2012 Grand Final. The virtual showpiece will be his sixth Grand Final appearance, a new FIWC record! “I am very proud of this achievement and am going to start by celebrating this record,” said the 2008 champion upon qualifying.
With André and Alfonso’s recent triumphs, it has been proven once more that experience is a key component for success at the FIWC. But will their experience pay off at the Grand Final? Can Ramos become the first player to lift the FIFA Interactive World Cup trophy for a second time? Before we can answer such questions, nineteen more Grand Final seats need to be filled.
There are four remaining online seasons and several live qualifier events. If you haven’t already, sign up for the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2012 and join the fun. Who knows, you could be just a few wins away from facing the likes of Ramos and Buffo at the Grand Final!
