All 24 Grand Finalists from the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2011 have arrived back home, their heads still dizzy from their incredible three day adventure in Los Angeles. We seized the opportunity to sit down with some of the Grand Finalists before they flew home and asked them about their Grand Final experiences.
FIFA.com: Congratulations to all of you on your FIWC11 campaign. You showed great skills and sportsmanship. Many of our FIWC fans would like to know what it was like to be involved in the Grand Final?
Mark Azzi: It was an unforgettable experience. From the hotel, to the mansion then to the Grand Final set... this year has definitely been the best in FIWC history.
Ruben Zerecero: It is always a great experience to get the chance to see all the players in real life. The event was amazing and, for me, just reaching the Grand Final was an unforgettable adventure and a dream came true.
Rafael Sanchez: I liked the Grand Final very much, especially being able to play against some of the best FIFA gamers in the world.
Patryk Urbanek: I agree, it was awesome. I was amazed by all the activities we did.
Felipe Moura: I loved participating in the FIWC Grand Final. This was the best tournament I have ever been to. What I especially liked about it was the possibility to enjoy the city and to get to know the culture.
Outside of the tournament, of all the activities you enjoyed in Los Angeles, which was your favourite?
Moura: I loved the bus tour through Los Angeles. And of course playing on top of the skyscraper right in the centre of L.A. was just beyond belief.
Zerecero: For me the bodyflying experience was one of my favorite activities.
Urbanek: The most exciting thing for me was playing EA SPORTS™ FIFA 12 at E3.
Andre Sousa: Yeah, my favorite moment was playing FIFA 12 on the yacht.
Azzi: Seems like everybody has got a different favorite moment. This just shows the variety of all the things we did. The most special moment for me was the helicopter ride which flew the semi-finalists over L.A. The bodyflying experience was also cool and really helped to bring the players closer together as a group.
