The big event on 5 and 6 February was the pre-qualifying tournament in London, the first step on the road to the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final. Alongside the fun and thrill of the game and the chance to meet and greet fellow EA SPORTS™ FIFA11 enthusiasts, there was the serious business of determining the four best players to go forward to the national final in Liverpool.

The demand for places in the elimination round was enormous, but the starting field was limited to 128 places, and the starting berths were determined by the luck of the draw. The lucky players who secured one of the prized slots sat directly opposite their opponents as they stepped up to the challenge of battling for goals and triumphs. Roared on by a good crowd of spectators, the rivals served up tense defensive battles and spectacular penalty-box action. The extraordinary atmosphere can hardly be described in words, so make sure to check it out for yourself in our highlights video!
